Why study it?
Zoologists study animals of all shapes and sizes in a variety of environments. Zoology covers a broad range of topics, including genetics, physiology, reproductive biology and ecology.
Zoology is for anyone who has an interest in the animals that live in the ocean, fresh water, and on the land. Zoologists also study the behaviour, distribution, structure, function, evolution, interactions and development of these animals.
Career options.
Zoologists have many different career options available. A zoologist could find employment as a keeper at a zoo, an eco tourism officer, work in a museum, a national park, in conservation, research or for the government and its agencies.
