THE STUDY OF CRIME RELATED SCIENCE

Why study it?

Forensic scientists investigate criminal acts, and try to determine exactly what happened using evidence found at a crime scene. A forensic scientist can learn about DNA, fingerprinting, drug testing, and crime scene investigation, and a variety of other topics from many different science fields. 



Forensics is for anyone who is interested in using science to solve mysteries, using their problem solving skills, and the legal aspect of science.
 

Career options.

Forensic scientists have many options open to them. While of course some will become crime scene investigators and crime officers, some will work in customs, some in environmental forensics, and some in laboratories as forensic or medical researchers.
