THE STUDY OF LIVING THINGS
Why study it?
Biologists can learn about the smallest molecules, to the biggest animals. Biology covers such a broad range of topics, and provides a foundation for a variety of other science fields.
Biology is for anyone who has an interest in the world around them; the plants, animals, insects, ecosystems, cells, environments, and genes. Biologists also study the structure, function, evolution, and development of these things.
Career options.
A biologist has many options available to them. These include working as a researcher inside or outside the laboratory, in health care, environmental management and conservation, in museums, zoos, aquariums and nature parks, in education or biotechnology.
